In 2004 Mazda released what would be the ultimate in performance packages for the NB chassis Miata. Equipped with an IHI turbocharger, the BP engine put out 175hp and turned the little Miata into a rocket. Other distinct features of this model were the 17" Racing Hart alloy wheels, the air-to-air intercooler mounted in the front of the car, strengthened rear differential, and upgraded interior trim options. Only just under 5500 of the MazdaSpeed Miatas were ever made, making this a very sought after car.
