The Mazda5 is a continuation of Mazda's already popular Premacy line from Japan. The rest of the world has gotten to enjoy the Premacy for years, but up until 2006 Mazda did not see fit to bring it to the US. After arriving in North America the Mazda5 received many awards from various consumer publications, and achieved the maximum crash-test score.
