The CorkSport Rx7 Power Series intercooler kit is a completeintercooler package.
The intercooler kit replaces the stock top engine mounted intercooler which is prone to heat soak with a 24 x 12 x 3 inch front mounted intercooler. With the intercooler front mounted the Rx7 will produce more consistent power all the time. The intercooler has the capacity to support up to 350 wheel horse power with other supporting modifications.
The kit fits 1987-1991 Turbo models and features the following components:
- Quality aluminum intercooler core, 24 in x 12 in x 3 in, with cast end tanks
- Polished 2.25" aluminum piping with bead rolled ends and mounting brackets
- Optional Black Powder Coated intercooler piping is available
- K&N Filter
- Aluminum Airflow Meter Adapter (86-88 models)
- Black, Red, or Blue Silicone couplers with t-bolt clamps
- All necessary hardware needed for installation including new aluminum battery tray
- Detailed installation instructions
- Pre-purchase option for HKS or Greddy BOV flange.
The CorkSport Rx7 FMIC kit has undergone extensive testing in the shop and on the street. You can expect the following from installing the kit:
Peak power gains of around 15 horsepower and 20 ft-lbs of torque.
Intake boost increases 1-2 psi over the operating range of the turbocharger compared to stock.
The CorkSport Rx7 FMIC kit requires several modifications to your car. Cutting of sheet metal will be required. The Rx7 FMIC kit does not work with A/C. The CorkSport FMIC kit requires a shorter battery.
