The Xcorder offers the following features:
- Driver Monitoring. Want to loan your car to your friend but
you are not sure if he will be out flogging on your car? Worried
about your teenager driving recklessly? The Xcorder features a 3
axis accelerometer which shows g-force loads including braking.
Combined with the built in GPS unit which registers vehicle speed you
can see exactly what and where the driver has been. The Xcorder
software allows you to review all of the data from driving to see if
your friend or teenager is going to be buying you a tank of gas or a
new set of tires.

- Accident Recording. Triggered by a built in 3 axis
accelerometer, the
unit records a 30 second video with 15 before and after the shock load
occurs. This allows you to have data recorded without thinking
and gives you video footage of the event. This data can be shown
to law enforcement for evidence (in jurisdictions that allow it).
This can be a really helpful feature for those "I'm not sure what
happened to the front bumper" statements from people borrowing your car.
See the screen shot below with the red arrow showing the incident
marker on the video.

- Manual Recording. Press one button and the Xcorder will
give you a new video start point. This is perfect for auto-cross
runs, drag racing, or recording the guy
in front of you on the freeway being a jack-hole. The videos make
perfect youtube clips for embarrassing your friends and or people in
traffic.
- Built in GPS. All Videos recorded all have time,
location,
and speed shown in the videos. You can then review trips in the
software with the map capture feature in the software.

- Parking Surveillance Mode. The Xcorder takes a picture at 2
FPS (Frames per second) to record your vehicle while parked just in
case that car in front of you backs into your car while pulling out of
their parking spot. With the lower video capture rate the power
draw from your car battery is minimized. Please note the outlet
in your car needs to be powered up for this feature to work.
- Load Sensing. With the built in 3 axis
accelerometer videos have acceleration, braking, and cornering g-force
loads recorded. For motorsports this can help you analyze runs
for cornering loads, braking points, and driving lines taken on
auto-cross
events.
